The Ruby Slipper Cake

- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1 c. (1/2 pt.) sour cream
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 eggs
- 1 pkg. (3 oz.) raspberry flavor gelatin
Directions

1Combine cake mix, sour cream, water and eggs in large bowl. Blend, then beat at medium speed for 2 minutes until creamy. Spoon 1/3 of batter into well-greased and floured fluted tube pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 the gelatin.

2Repeat layers.

3Spread remaining batter over gelatin to cover.

4Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes, until cake springs back when lightly pressed.

5Cool in pan for 5 minutes.

6Remove from pan, cool on rack.

7Sprinkle with confectioners sugar, if desired.

8When cake is cut, it resembles a ruby slipper.
