- 1 (2 layer) pkg. white cake mix
- 2 (8 oz.) pkg. frozen coconut
- 2 c. sour cream
- 2 c. sugar
- 16 oz. whipped topping
Directions

1Prepare and bake cake mix using package directions for 2 (9-inch) round cake pans.

2Remove to wire racks to cool completely.

3Split layers into halves horizontally.

4Mix coconut, sour cream and sugar in bowl.

5Measure and reserve 1/2 cup coconut mixture.

6Spread remaining coconut mixture between layers.

7Mix reserved coconut mixture with whipped topping.

8Spread over top and side of cake.

9Chill, covered, for 3 days before serving. Yield:
