- 1 c. sweet milk, scalded
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 yeast cake, dissolved in 1/3 c. lukewarm water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
Directions

1Combine sugar and shortening in large bowl.

2Add the scalded milk.

3When the mixture is cool, add the yeast and salt.

4Stir thick with flour.

5Let rise 2 hours, roll and shape into rolls. Raise 1 hour and bake at 350° to 375°.

6Makes about 18 rolls.
