- medium oysters
- self-rising corn meal
- vegetable oil
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Drain oysters, then place them, one at a time, into a plastic bag with the corn meal.

2Shake bag to coat each oyster.

3Place the coated oysters on a cookie sheet; freeze for 20 to 30 minutes.

4Fry oysters, unthawed, in hot to medium oil until brown and crisp. Drain well on paper towels; salt to taste.

5Keep oysters, warm, uncovered, on a warming tray.
