- 2 lb. carrots, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch by 2-inch strips
- 6 cloves garlic, peeled
- 2 Tbs. balsamic vinegar
- 1 1/2 Tbs. olive oil
- 1 Tbs. chopped fresh thyme
- 1/4 tsp. sugar
- balsamic vinegar
Directions

1Blanch carrots and garlic in boiling salted water 1 minute.

2Drain.

3Toss carrots with remaining ingredients in large bowl.

4Season to taste with salt and pepper.

5Let stand 10 minutes.

6Remove garlic, and serve warm or at room temperature.
