- 6 egg yolks
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 8 oz. sweet wine
- 1 lb. Mascarpone cheese or cream cheese
- 10 oz. ladyfingers or sponge cake
- 3 c. Espresso or very strong black coffee
- cocoa powder
Directions

1Mix egg yolks, sugar and wine in a bowl.

2Cook this mixture in a double boiler for 3 minutes.

3Remove from heat.

4Now mix the Mascarpone cheese with the egg mixture until smooth.

5(You can add some of the coffee to help it become thinner.)

6Quickly dip the ladyfingers in the Espresso and one by one place them uniformly in a casserole dish.

7Spread a layer of cheese mixture on top of ladyfingers.

8Add another layer of ladyfingers on top of cheese mixture, then add another layer of cheese mixture.

9Repeat process. End with last layer being the cheese mixture and refrigerate for 3 hours.

10Sprinkle with cocoa powder and serve.
