Ingredients
- 1 c. long grain rice
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 can (10 oz.) chicken or beef broth, boiling
- 3/4 c. boiling water
- 4 green onions, chopped finely
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. dried tarragon or basil leaves
Directions

1Measure rice into oven-proof casserole with lid.

2Place into 325° oven.

3Roast 20 minutes or until rice is toasted and golden. Remove from oven.

4Add margarine to rice and stir until melted. Pour boiling broth and water over rice; stir.

5Cover.

6Return to oven.

7Bake 30 minutes or until rice is done and has absorbed all liquid.

8Stir in finely chopped green onions, soy sauce and herb of your choice.

9Makes 4 servings.

10Good served with baked or roasted chicken or beef.
