  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chocolate chips

Directions

    Butter a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Spread pecans in the pan.

    Heat sugar and butter to boiling, stirring.

    Boil over medium heat, stirring constantly for 7 minutes.

    Immediately spread over pecans in pan.

    Sprinkle with chocolate chips over hot mixture.

    Place baking sheet over pan so chocolate will melt.

    Spread chocolate over candy while hot.

    Cut into squares or break into pieces when cool.

    Chill when firm.
