- 5 regular Hershey bars
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1 c. sugar
Directions

1In an 8 1/2 x 11-inch pan, sprinkle 1/2 of pecans on bottom. Break Hershey bars into sections; arrange on nuts.

2Set aside. In a heavy saucepan, combine the butter, Karo syrup, water and sugar.

3Cook over medium-low heat to 300°.

4(It turns from pale yellow to light brown.)

5Pour over chocolate and nut layer. Spread gently to cover.

6Arrange rest of chocolate bars on top; allow to soften for a minute or so and spread.

7May sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped pecans on top.

8Let stand at room temperature.

9Break into pieces.
