  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 (4 oz.) bar milk chocolate candy
  • 1 c. margarine or butter, softened
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Mix margarine, sugar, vanilla and egg yolk.

    Stir in flour and salt.

    Press dough in ungreased rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan, with floured hands.

    Beat egg white and water; brush over dough.

    Sprinkle with cashew nuts; press lightly.

    Bake until light brown, about 25 minutes.

    Cool 10 minutes.

    Cut into 3-inch squares; cut each square diagonally into halves.

    Immediately remove from pan; cool completely.

    Drizzle with chocolate.

    Let stand until chocolate is set, about 2 hours. Makes 24 triangles.
