  • 2 Land O Lakes Garlic & Herb Saute Express squares
  • 1 pound tomatillos, husked, stems trimmed, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 1 small (1/2 cup) onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

    Melt Saute Express squares in 10-inch nonstick skillet until sizzling.

    Add tomatillos, onion; chili powder, cumin, garlic salt and ground red pepper; cook over medium heat 5-6 minutes or until tomatillos are tender.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in salt.

    Cool 10 minutes.

    Place tomatillo mixture into food processor bowl fitted with metal blade.

    Pulse until small pieces remain.
