  • 3 lbs fresh tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp pepper (I like more)
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 4 cups chicken broth, divided
  • 1 cup heavy cream
