  • 8 pieces toasted white bread, cut in large cubes
  • 2 sticks melted butter
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans tomato puree
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix puree, sugar and salt.

    Add 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Boil for a few minutes.

    Pour melted butter over bread.

    Then pour puree mixture over bread.

    Bake, uncovered, at 350° or 375° for 30 minutes.
