- 2 gal. cut up tomatoes
- 2 onions
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 22 drops cinnamon oil
- 22 drops clove oil
- 5 c. sugar
- 5 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 c. vinegar
Directions

1Cook tomatoes and onions until soft; put through sieve.

2Press out the clear juice and save for juice or flavor for gravies, etc. Press and save the thick pulp for the ketchup.

3Add salt, oils and vinegar.

4Cook until thick.

5Add sugar, cornstarch and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper, if desired.

6Cook well and can.

7This has a bright red color and is more like commercial ketchup.
