  • Tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • Onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 deep dish pie crust
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 c. extra sharp cheese
  • Bell pepper, chopped (optional)

Directions

    Place a layer of tomatoes (if juicy, drain on paper towel for better results) and a layer of onions in the unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle with bell pepper.

    Repeat layers until the pie is to the top of crust.

    Mix mayonnaise and grated cheese together and spread over top.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes. Baking time may vary so check after an hour and frequently until done.

    With variation in tomatoes it may take 1 hour and 30 minutes.
