Ingredients

  • 4 whole Medium Tomatoes
  • 1 whole Shallot
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cups Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Basil

Directions

    Core and dice the tomatoes, then transfer to a large salad bowl.

    Peel and thinly slice (and dice) the shallot, and add to the tomatoes.

    Peel and mince the garlic, add to the tomatoes and shallots, and mix together.

    Add olive oil, lemon juice, and red wine vinegar and toss. There should be extra liquid at the bottom.

    Add salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and basil. Toss again.

    Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve!
