Ingredients

  • 1 peck tomatoes (8 qt.)
  • 3 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 to 2 hot peppers
  • 3 green peppers, chopped
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. flour with a little water to make thickening

Directions

    Cook tomatoes, onions, peppers and garlic powder together until done (about 2 hours).

    Run through sieve and then add sugar, salt, celery seed, margarine and flour.

    Cook until thick.

    Seal in clean hot jars.

    Makes 9 to 12 pints.
