  • 1/2 bushel tomatoes
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 onions
  • 2 peppers
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. canning salt
  • 1 c. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. butter

Directions

    Cook vegetables.

    Put through tomato strainer.

    Put back on stove.

    Bring to boil.

    Add salt, sugar and butter; add water to cornstarch to make paste.

    When this comes to rolling boil, seal in pint or quart jars.
