- 2 c. sugar
- 6 c. sifted cake flour
- 7 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla (optional)
- 1 c. melted pork lard
Directions

1Beat egg yolks until lemon colored. Add sugar gradually. Add 1 cup melted pork lard. Sift in flour and baking powder. Pour milk and mix well. Spoon into muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake in hot oven (400°). Remove when golden brown. Spread butter on top and sprinkle with sugar.
