- 1/4 c. whole blanched almonds
- almond extract
- 1 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 12 maraschino cherries
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Separate eggs.

2Put whites in small mixer bowl as separated. Refrigerate yolks.

3Let whites warm to room temperature 1 hour. Mix 1/4 cup water with sugar in 1-quart saucepan.

4Stir over low heat to dissolve.

5Boil, uncovered, without stirring to 236° on candy thermometer.
