Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 lb. yams
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. peach or apricot nectar
  • 1 c. pineapple juice
  • 1/2 c. orange juice
  • 1 can pineapple (slices)
  • 1/2 stick butter

Directions

    Peel and boil yams 15 to 20 minutes.

    Test with knife.

    Cool yams.

    In skillet, put butter, sugar and all juices.

    Melt or cook for 30 to 45 minutes to make thick sauce.

    Slice yams and dip in sauce.

    Dip pineapple in sauce.

    Put yams and pineapple in baking dish.

    Pour remainder sauce over and bake for 25 minutes covered. Bake 5 minutes uncovered.
