  • 8 large eggs
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter flavor Crisco
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c. canned milk

Directions

    Cream sugar, Crisco and margarine together until light and fluffy.

    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each.

    Add flour alternately with milk, starting with flour and ending with flour.

    Add vanilla.

    Pour in greased and lightly floured 10-inch tube pan.

    Put in cold oven and bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes (longer, if needed).
