Tuna Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 (6 1/2 oz.) can tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped pimento
  • 1 (8 oz.) bag medium noodles
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Directions

    In large skillet, saute celery and onion in butter.

    Stir in tuna, soup, mayonnaise and milk, mushrooms and pimento. Meanwhile, cook noodles according to directions on bag.

    Drain in colander.

    In a 2-quart greased casserole, combine noodles and tuna mixture.

    Top with bread crumbs, tossed with 2 tablespoons melted butter.

    Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until browned and bubbly.
