  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped (undrained)
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans tuna, drained and flaked
  • 8 oz. lasagna noodles, cooked, rinsed and drained
  • 1 1/2 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

    Combine tomatoes, tomato paste, spaghetti sauce mix, oregano, sugar and garlic in 2-quart heavy saucepan.

    Bring to a boil over high heat.

    Reduce heat to low.

    Simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Add tuna; set aside.

    Place 1/2 of the noodles on bottom of 12 x 8-inch baking dish.

    Cover with 1/3 of the tuna sauce, 1/2 of the cottage cheese and 1/2 of the Mozzarella cheese.

    Repeat layers, ending with tuna sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

    Bake in preheated 350° oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
