- pepper to taste
- yolk of 1 egg
- 1 slice bacon
- corn bread or hoe cakes
- 1 tsp. minced parsley
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Soak bread almost two days old in milk until soft.

2Press out all the moisture and add an equal amount of quickly cooked hoe cakes or corn bread.

3Place in saucepan with onion, butter and bacon.

4Cook 10 minutes without browning.

5When cold, season with salt and pepper, celery seed and minced parsley.

6Use sage and thyme and the yolk of 1 egg.
