  • 1/2 to 1/2 c. brown sugar or to taste
  • 1/2 to 1/3 c. sour cream or to taste
  • 1/8 tsp. white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

    Peel, quarter and steam rutabagas (turnips).

    Do not boil. When tender, mash.
