  • 2 bunches turnip greens
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 lb. salt pork

Directions

    Wash turnip greens thoroughly.

    Chop greens into small pieces. Put greens in pot with 4 cups water (more water may be used, if necessary).

    Add sugar, salt, pepper and salt pork.

    Bring to brisk boil.

    Reduce heat to medium-low.

    Cover and cook until tender.
