  • 2 lb. turnips
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions

    Peel and slice turnips and onion.

    Cook with sugar until tender, drain and mix in remaining ingredients.

    Place in buttered casserole dish and top with cracker crumbs mixed with melted butter.

    Bake in moderate oven until knife inserted between edge and center comes out clean or about 50 minutes.

    Serve immediately.
