  • 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 3/4 c. melted margarine
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Directions

    Melt caramels and 1/3 cup of milk. Set aside.

    Mix dry cake mix, pecans, 1/3 cup milk and margarine.

    Pat 1/2 cake mixture into greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350° for 6 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.

    Pour caramel mixture over chips.

    Crumble remaining cake mixture on top.

    Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
