- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 14 oz. pkg. caramels
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1/4 lb. margarine
- 7 oz. Eagle Brand milk
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions

1In top of a double boiler, melt margarine, caramels, and Eagle Brand milk over moderate heat.

2While this is melting, prepare cake mix according to package directions.

3Pour 1/2 of the batter in a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 15 minutes. Cool caramel mixture slightly and pour this over baked layer and sprinkle the following on top: 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped pecans.

4Pour the rest of the batter over this and bake for 15 more minutes, or until done at 350°.

5You can frost or eat plain.

6Good with ice cream.
