- 1 (14 oz.) pkg. vanilla caramels
- 1 c. milk chocolate chips
- 3/4 c. oleo, melted
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 3/4 c. evaporated milk
Directions

1Melt caramels in 1/3 cup evaporated milk.

2Set aside.

3Mix cake mix with 3/4 cup melted oleo and 3/4 cup evaporated milk. Spread 1/2 of the mixture in a 9 x 13-inch cake pan that has been sprayed with Pam or lightly greased.

4Bake 15 minutes at 350°. Then spread melted caramel mix on cake.

5Then sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts on cake.

6Spread remaining cake mix over this and bake 18 to 20 minutes longer at 350°.

7Let cool before cutting. The remaining cake mix will not cover the caramels and nuts completely.
