  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 lb. caramels
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Directions

    Melt butter and mix with cake mix and 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Bake 1/2 of this in 9 x 13-inch pan at 350° for 5 or 6 minutes. Melt caramels with 1/2 cup evaporated milk.

    Spread on cake; sprinkle pecans and chocolate chips over cake.

    Dot remaining batter over cake, then bake for 30 more minutes.
