- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 1 pkg. caramels (14 oz.)
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. chocolate chips
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Prepare cake according to box directions.

3Pour 1/2 cake batter into greased and floured 13 x 9 cake pan. Set remaining batter aside.

4Bake cake in oven for 18 minutes.

5Melt caramels; add milk and butter.

6Stir pecans into caramel mixture.

7Pour caramel nut mixture on top of cake. Sprinkle with chips.

8Pour rest of cake batter over top and bake in oven another 20 minutes or until cake is done.

9Serve plain or frosted.
