Ingredients
- 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
- 12 caramels
- 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
- 2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2In small, heavy saucepan over low heat, melt caramels with 1/3 cup sweetened milk.

3Spread evenly on bottom of pie shell.

4In medium saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate and butter.

5In large bowl, beat eggs with remaining sweetened milk, water and vanilla.

6Add chocolate mixture; mix well.

7Pour into pie shell; top with pecans.

8Bake for 35 minutes, or until center is set.

9Cool and chill.

10Refrigerate leftovers. Makes one 9-inch pie.
