- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- pecan halves
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 1/4 slab paraffin
Directions

1In saucepan, heat and melt butter and evaporated milk.

2In another pan, cook to firm ball stage (244°), stirring often the sugar, salt and corn syrup.

3Slowly stir in hot milk mixture so that sugar mixture does not stop boiling.

4Stirring constantly, cook mixture until candy reaches firm ball stage again.

5Remove pan from heat; stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla.

6Cool to room temperature.
