Ingredients
- 4 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 4 Tbsp. melted, cooled shortening
- 1 large cake yeast (household)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 qt. flour
Directions

1Mix together warm water, yeast, sugar and salt, then add shortening.

2Mix well, then add flour in gradually and stirring well.

3Knead dough about 20 times and have soft workable dough. Place in large bowl; place in warm area and let rise 1 hour. Punch down.

4Let rise 1 more hour.

5Place in muffin pans or make rolls as desired.

6Lightly brush with melted shortening.

7Let rise until double in size.

8Bake at 350° until nicely browned.

9Brush each roll with butter.
-
10Recipe can be used as dinner rolls, cinnamon or sticky rolls.
