Ingredients

  • 12 apples
  • 12 onions
  • 12 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 6 green peppers
  • 6 red peppers
  • 1 lb. seedless raisins
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 qt. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. red pepper

Directions

    Grind and strain the apples, peppers, onions, tomatoes and raisins.

    (Use juice for breakfast juice.)

    Add seasonings and let stand covered overnight.

    Ladle relish into sterilized pint Mason jars to approximately 1-inch from the top.

    (Do not overfill.) Seal with hot wax.

    When wax is set, cover with 2 piece sterilized Mason lids.
