- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground meat
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1/2 medium heat cabbage
- 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp. light brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. white distilled vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Crumble beef into a 4 to 5-quart Dutch oven; add onion and cook over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes.

2Stir often until meat is browned.

3Quarter and core cabbage.

4Cut crosswise in 1-inch wide strips.

5You should have about 8 cups.

6Add to meat mixture, cover and cook over medium heat, about 5 to 7 minutes until cabbage wilts.

7Stir in tomatoes, sugar, vinegar and salt.

8Bring to a boil, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until cabbage is tender.

9Serves 4.
