- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 can cherry filling
Directions

1Thoroughly cream together 1/2 cup sugar and margarine.

2Blend in flour, baking powder and salt.

3Gradually add milk, mixing well.

4(Don't worry about lumps.)

5Spread batter in greased 9 x 9-inch pan.

6Distribute cherries evenly over batter.

7Pour on cherry liquid.

8Sprinkle cherries with remaining 1/2 cup sugar. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until light brown.
