- 1 1/2 qt. milk
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. flour to 1 c. milk
- big pinch of salt
- 9 to 1 doz. eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cook very slowly in heavy saucepan milk and sugar and continue to stir.

2Add 4 tablespoons flour mixed in about 1 cup of milk. Add salt and beat eggs and add to mixture.

3Cook slowly and stir until custard is thickened.

4I like to refrigerate overnight but may use same day.

5Before pouring custard in freezer, add vanilla and additional sugar until custard is over sweet.

6You may add fresh or canned fruit to same vanilla custard.

7Add can milk if custard does not come to line mark in freezer.
