- 5 or 6 lbs. Soup Bones
- 3 lbs. Stewing Beef
- 2 Potatoes, diced
- 4 Carrots, diced
- 2 Onions, chopped fine
- 1 c. Peas
- 1 c. Cooked String Beans
- 1 c. Lima Beans
- 2 Tbsp. Uncooked Macaroni, Rice or Barley
Directions

1Place the meat and bones into a large soup kettle, cover with water, bring to a boil and simmer for about 5 hours.

2After the first two hours season with bay leaf, salt and pepper.

3After cooked until tender, cool and cut meat into small pieces and strain the broth.

4Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for an additional two hours.
