Ingredients

  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/8 tsp. white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. dried whole dill weed
  • 3 Tbsp. frozen minced chives, thawed
  • 8 slices very thin white bread
  • 8 slices very thin whole wheat bread
  • thinly sliced cucumber, squash or radishes
  • shredded carrot
  • sliced cherry tomatoes
  • fresh watercress or dill weed sprigs

Directions

    Beat the cream cheese until fluffy. Stir in next 5 ingredients.

    Set aside. Cut two 1 3/4-inch rounds from each bread slice.

    Keep bread covered with damp towels while assembling. Spread each bread round with 1 teaspoon cream cheese mixture. Top with assorted vegetables and watercress as desired.
