- 1 can green asparagus, drained
- 1 can English peas, drained
- 1 can water chestnuts, drained
- 1 can mushrooms, drained
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 5 c grated cheese (1 lb)
- 1 stick oleo
- Dash of cayenne pepper
- Salt to taste
- 3 drops Tabasco sauce
Directions

1Butter a casserole dish.

2Layer asparagus, peas, cheese and water chestnuts.

3Combine mushroom soup and seasonings.

4Pour over vegetables.

5Melt 1 stick of butter.

6Cut 4 slices of bread into strips and put in butter.

7Place strips on top of casserole, then cheese on top.

8Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

9Serves a bunch.
