- 3 slices bacon, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 c. hot water
- 1 turnip, diced
- 1 potato, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 2 stalks celery (with leaves), diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- dash of pepper
- 2 Tbsp. minced parsley
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
Directions

1Saute onion and bacon until soft.

2Add water, vegetables (except tomatoes) and seasonings.

3Bring to boil; cover and reduce heat to simmer.

4Cook 7 to 10 minutes until vegetables are tender. Add tomatoes and heat.

5Serve hot.
