Ingredients
- 1/4 c. fat or vegetable oil
- 2 onions
- 1 c. canned or cooked meat (beef or venison)
- 2 c. tomatoes
- 1/2 c. rice, not cooked
- 2 c. canned or cooked vegetables
- 3 c. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Put fat in large boiler; let melt.

2Peel and chop onions.

3Cook in hot fat until tender.

4Stir as they cook.

5Take off heat.

6Cut meat into small pieces; add to fat and onions with tomatoes.

7Add uncooked rice, vegetables, water, salt and pepper.

8Return boiler to heat.

9Stir as it begins to boil, then cover with lid.

10Turn heat to low.

11Cook for 30 minutes.

12Stir occasionally as it cooks to keep from sticking.
