  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 large potato, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped into small pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. uncooked rice
  • 1 c. broth (chicken, beef or pork)
  • 2 c. water

Directions

    Cook hamburger (salt and pepper) and drain.

    Put cooked hamburger in a large pot. Add vegetables, rice, broth and water. Salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 cup tomato juice, if desired. Cook slowly about 45 minutes.
