Ingredients
- 4 stalks celery with tops
- 2 medium size onions
- 2 medium size carrots
- 1/4 small head cabbage
- 3 c. water
- 2 c. cooked or canned tomatoes
- 1/4 c. fat (margarine or butter)
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper (as you like)
- 1/4 c. uncooked rice
Directions

1Cut up celery, onions, carrots and cabbage.

2Bring water to boiling and add ingredients, except rice.

3Cover and boil slowly for 15 to 20 minutes, until vegetables are almost tender.

4Add rice.

5Lower heat and cook about 25 minutes longer until rice is tender.

6Makes 6 servings, 1 cup each.
