- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3 carrots, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 1 small can peas
- 1 small can whole kernel corn
- 3 medium potatoes, diced
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1/2 c. cabbage, diced
- 1/4 c. ketchup
- 1/2 c. tomato juice
- 4 qt. water
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Melt butter in soup pot.

2Add water, add diced vegetables (except canned ones), ketchup, tomato juice, salt and pepper to taste.

3Bring to boil.

4Let simmer slowly 3/4 hour.

5Add canned vegetables and cook an additional 10 minutes.
