- 2 (17 oz.) cans small green peas, drained
- 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
- 3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1 c. soft bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. melted margarine
Directions

1Arrange half of asparagus in lightly greased 21 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.

2Combine next 6 ingredients.

3Stir gently and spoon 1/2 of mixture over asparagus.

4Repeat layers.

5Combine bread crumbs and margarine; sprinkle over top.

6Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes at 350°.
