Venison Mushroom Chops

Ingredients
- 1 c. finely chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 4 boneless venison chops (butterflied chops work best)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/8 c. grated Romano cheese (optional)
Directions

1Melt butter in frying pan.

2Brown chops lightly on both sides. Put in ovenproof dish; set aside.

3Using same butter in frying pan, saute mushrooms, onion and egg together with salt and pepper. Spoon equal amounts on top of each chop.

4Bake in preheated 350° oven, uncovered, for 30 minutes.

5Sprinkle cheese on top and bake for another 10 minutes, or until cheese has melted.
